WINTER EDITION. Winter is my time to try and take a step back and rest. I squeeze in some outside chores as my horses are eating but the big chunk of farm work is done on the weekends and I like to leave the week as just maintenance.
I feed round bales so I just have supplemented square bales throughout the week and the feeding routine is down pat. I can change blankets, pick feet, etc while the horses are in the field without a halter. Everything is very relaxed and hte horses are calm.
6Ish AM: Wake up, get dressed, feed/water dogs and cat. Check horses water and make sure they're all accounted for, heat breakfast up and warm car up.
8 AM : arrive at work. I have a 1 hour commute in.

11 AM: gym time. One of the best perks of working for a large company is getting to workout during my day. saves time and gives me an energy boost for the afternoon.
4 PM: leave work, commute home
5:15ish: arrive home, change , head out to feed and take care of all the horses needs, feed the cat and do small chores outside

6PM: grab my kiddo. Hang out with my mom a bit
6:30/7ish: arrive back home. Heat dinner up, play games, do laundry or dishes.

8-8:30 bath/shower time. after this I lay out my gym & work clothes, pack my lunch, and clean up the house a bit
by 9:30ish we are usually sitting down watching a movie. sometimes we will go back upstairs to play more or we will play blocks / some sort of building toys I enjoy as we relax.

10:30ish we are asleep. [And yes I would love for us to get to sleep way earlier I just haven't figured out how to do this].
I'm solo parenting at bedtime and I have tried screen free, lights off , heavy work, getting sat down and relaxed earlier but it has always just resulted in me trying to sit on the couch or lay in bed with him as he uses me as a climbing obstacle or wrestles me. I'm usually just gassed at about 10 every night so we just survive. So any suggestions let me know! (he gets up between 8:30-9 since SO works 2nd shift)

It's currently towards the end of January and I am ready for spring to hit for the new breath of energy and grass to grow and more riding lessons/shows!
