This year is about underconsumption—making do with what we already have, maintaining what matters, and getting rid of the cheap, disposable stuff that adds clutter to our lives. I narrowed my goals down to the ones that will actually move the needle.

I love reading gift roundup posts and wanted one to look back on years from now. This Christmas, I leaned into everything my 4-year-old loves right now—bones, trucks, hooks, lights, and learning. From an anatomy torso to construction vehicles, sight word games, and a few fun stocking stuffers, this list captures such a fun stage of childhood.

There are seasons. If you’re in the trenches of motherhood right now—exhausted, barely sleeping—this isn’t advice for you. That season is survival, and I promise it passes. But if you’re a mom feeling a little blah, my best advice is to move your body again. Preferably with someone else. Loud music, real effort, laughing through it. When I’m fit, everything in my life feels better. Strength brings my spark back—every time. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals 🎄
