Budgeting Updates

I’ve officially been budgeting for 3 months now and I think it’s finally stuck. As in, not perfect because I didn’t add getting my truck tags in the budget this month but my bank account can tell I’m spending less.

I took yesterday off of work since I worked last weekend, this week and will be here the weekends the rest of the year since my job is running projects that need to be done/installed while the equipment isn’t running.
I returned an order from Abercrombie that didn’t fit (very proud of this in the past it would have just sat around and I wouldn’t wasted $100), paid my truck tags (ouch), deposited a little bit of cash, returned a library book, put a fresh round bale out for the horses, cleaned the house and went to the salvage grocery store near me.
It felt really good to get that stuff done as it had been occupying a space in my brain and I have realized self care for me is taking care of stuff head on. If I am thinking about something I need to do it and not just procrastinate.
And WOW. I got this entire haul for $40! All things I use and I actually made the macaroni and cheese last night as a side for dinner for me and kiddo.

Christmas gifts this year were super thoughtful and not expensive. Last year we did name draw but this year we just didn’t get around to it so I got everyone a small and thoughtful gift. For SO and kiddo they each got 3 gifts each.
In other news, it’s cold. I don’t super love to ride under 40 degrees and with work being so busy Murphy is just getting to have feral vacation time. I have found a few shows within 1-1.5 hours from me that I’m very interested in getting out to in the spring (provided we don’t have a horribly wet spring and I can get some riding time in.)

Well, happy Thursday everyone.
