I am still on my no spend January. thank goodness we are at the end of January. It's been extremely cold this month and we've had a stomach bug go through the house this month.
Saturday I spent several hours taking kiddo around to different grocery stores to try and find the best deals. My dog also knows it’s the weekend and demands to be taken as well so we have to let him out of the car and walk around between stores. It’s a lot of work and a lot of fun all at the same time.
3 is really a wonderful ages for kids. Mine is so much fun! He loves to help me load the groceries on the checkout lane and bag them. He also makes sure to pick himself out a treat which I think is so hilarious as he is so sweet about asking.

Sunday was still cold but doable. I got Murphy out and did some ground work and hopped on for about 10 minutes. I like to ease everyone back into work to be fair. It’s not a good thing to hit the gym hard after being off for months and then be so sore the next day. He got the tiniest bit sweaty around his girth area so I took my time cooling him out and grooming before they got dinner.

I have decided as it gets lighter earlier I am just going to have to get him out before work and ride then if we want to be in any sort of reliable shape for the show season. It’s not fair to be a weekend warrior to Murph AND it’s really good for my confidence. I am the type I need to be overprepared to not let my nerves get the best of me.
Even if my trainer is just watching me I have nerves. If I ride enough though that goes away and I just get to completely enjoy my time on my wonderful horse.
It’s funny now that in the 30s doesn’t feel terrible to me and we stayed outside so much this weekend just getting a break from the teens and 20s (F). I am very excited for the weather to warm up I can smell it in the air

Happy almost end of January everyone.
