23ish days until spring everyone!

I will stand on my hill and say the way to get through winter if you live in a cold climate is to take a minimum 4 day trip to someplace warm in February.

Topsail Preservation State Park in Florida. Rent a cabin there . 10/10

After a couple weeks of frigid temps, hand carrying water, hay and slipping and sliding I had luckily scheduled a week in a cabin in florida to end the freeze. Left my SO back home to care for the animals (he was invited but hates the beach lol) and drove down to the beach.

also here there are great hiking/biking trails around several lakes. We even got to see a wild alligater (using binoculars)

My mom, son and I drove down in one car and my sister, her husband and their 2 kids conveyed down as well. We had the absolute best time. We avoided all the crowds, staying in a state park was cheaper, quieter and safer than staying in an Airbnb in some high rise or in a highly populated area. 10/10 recommend. Next year we are getting another sister and her family to go with us it was so fun!

One of my favorite memories is riding bikes everywhere! To the lake, the beach, the playground , the camp store.

The days are definitely getting longer and there has been several days in the 60s peeking through. After getting back from a week in warmer weather away from the responsibilities of work , the farm and just daily housekeeping I came back so much more energized and the dream feels alive again.

I have already updated my project list, gotten my budget whipped into shape because  it has motivated me again! I have a goal to update my sons room in March before mowing season is upon us.

Well it’s Thursday already here and this weekend we go into March. Happy almost spring we’re almost there.
