it’s a year of underconsumption. We aren’t making influencers richer . We are making do with what we have but making sure to keep up on our maintenance – ourselves, our vehicles, our houses and our animals but out with the cheap polyester clothes.

My 4 goals for this year are narrowed down to what will make the biggest difference in my life (and what I’ve already been working on but throughout the year I like to look back and it re-focuses me):

1.      Muscle mommy

2.      Memorize more Bible verses

3.      Finish my emergency fund

4.      Declutter house and porch

5.      Build muscle on both horses

We’ve already talked about the biggest tip for being a mom is working out and getting strong and leaning out. Look good, feel good, do good.

I’ve been reading the Bible every day sometimes multiple times a day for a couple months already (it’s December 2025 currently). It’s really helpful and it is called God’s living word. I struggle with fear and worry and lately my verse is “But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and strength and a sound mind”  Wham, helps every time when I repeat this to myself.

Finishing my emergency fund. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have really any financial tips other than don’t go into debt from childhood. No shade to my parents that was a good start but wow I was soo behind. I am proud of myself going tracking my money fairly good in 2025 and getting a decent nest egg. Now to finish it out next year! What a great feeling in case an emergency happens.

Declutter the house and porch. I have actually been cleaning more. I have decluttered a lot. But my SO is horrible about leaving his stuff over the counter for the farm/barn/vehicles plus getting the puppy and going through his potty training and puppy chew everything up phase really finished me off this year.

I want the house to feel inviting to clean – like not a million things to move off the counter to dust the cabinets and the floor not having a ton of toys or furniture so I can easily sweep and mop. Definitely a work in progress but it’s a high priority for 2026.

The last one I put build muscle on both horses. During my motherhood journey I have thought about getting out of horses so many times. It’s been so hard feeling guilty for both ways but I have held on. We’ve put putting an arena in on our farm goals for 2026 …. It won’t feel real until we get it put in. (And by arena I mean budget arena, I’ll share the process once we get started on it).

Every year my friends and I have a vision board party where we get together and make our vision boards for the upcoming year and it’s always so fun to get together and dream together! I do think it stretches us and keeps us focused on the goals for the year instead of being all loosey goosey.

How about you all, what are your 2026 goals?
