Hi friends .
Long time no see.
I’ve changed buildings/managers/projects at work and am coming up at the end of the 2nd week here. It’s very busy but I am enjoying it as of right now.
I was thinking yesterday that in my 20’s I remember my biggest goal was to be capable. I feel like I’m there now.
This week I had a doctors appointment that just happened to be the same day our AC went out. So thankfully it was just a 70 dollar fee but it was a stopped up drain line. The SO has another project on his list to have this backup drain go outside the house. Unfortunately for this time I have to empty out the pan , cup by cup. Finally got AC back on when my SO came home and figured out the breaker on the unit upstairs needed to be flipped.

In horse news, I have never actually had to give a shot before. For banamine, I’ve always just given orally it’s easier and daggone near just as effective. This time murphys leg was still just slightly swollen and bumpy. Had some granulomas it looked like. Even with 10 days of antibiotics I was worried.

Keep in mind, this horse was so bad last time the vet came out to give him his shots. He’s never been fond of needles but the poor guy was FREAKED OUT. So I was very nervous. But I’ve given human shots in the muscle before so I just did some research and decided to just do the dang thing.
And guess what – He didn’t even react !! I think because I’ve learned the technique on humans to make it relatively pain free it was pretty easy to do for a horse! Youtube is amazing.
I finally put the new saddle I have bought on him. It’s a monoflap so I do need to buy a short girth for him. Fingers crossed this weekend we can go for a ride.
Other animal news -- a new kitten showed up. she was extremely scared the first day but I keep leaving food out. She's getting braver by the day and she loves hanging out with our cat we've had since we moved in (who was a wild cat that also came with the house). He's happily tame and is showing her the ropes. Next up is to get her fixed.

Anyway,I hope everyone's sleep is deep and your coffee is delicious. Happy pre Friday. Enjoy this summer sunset picture. I'm surely going to miss this come January.
