Actually all I needed was a girls trip

Type 1,2 and 3 fun was had. I feel more hopeful and satisfied. There’s nothing like non stop laughing for 4 days with your girlfriends. Highly recommend gathering up some girl friends and starting to travel once a year! It’s a soul refresher. Leave the boyfriends and husbands at home, it’s the MOST fun with your girl gang.

 Type 1 fun. We ate. A LOT. Blueberry pie 10/10. Seafood. I had the best fish tacos and best blueberry pie I’ve ever had in my life. Really good ice cream here as well.

We knocked an item off my bucket list which was going sailing! Our captain gave guided tours and then after the tourist season is over he sails down to the Caribbean to spend the winter. We met so many people with alternative lifestyles new hope and energy was given. Being surrounded by corporate juice drinkers a lot it was refreshing to meet all different types of people.

We met several families at our KOA who RV full time and just find work as they go. They also homeschool and their oldest ran his own business while the younger was such a confident self assured boy!

Cadillac mountain –where the sun first touches the coast in the USA. A brisk morning huddled up with blankets and afterwards a hot breakfast with coffee.

Shopping in downtown bar harbor. It’s a lovely sea town with a great mix of local and tourist attractions. There’s several restaurants (we had 1 A+++ and 1 C+ experience so good luck ), cute coffee shops, places to get shirts and cozy bookstores. It gets crowded by the afternoon and night with locals and tourists. On Wednesday night we caught a navy band playing live music.

Type 2 fun. My calves hurt so much after this trip. It was a random trail that started out easy but eventually we made it to the top to this view! We hiked our early enough this day to beat most of the crowds! Lots of hikes. I did not go on the beehive trail but 2 out of our group went.

Cold plunge into the ocean! It was SO cold. It gave me such energy! I love living life

Type 3 fun. I think this varied for a few of us. Only 2 girls went on the beehive trail bc the 3’ ledge with no chain scared all of us moms LOL. At one point the first hike where I was very high up bordered on type 3 for me. And then the evening we got a bit lost was type 3 for a few girls. There’s no lasting memories without the type 2 & 3 fun however!

I can’t fit the entire trip into a blog post but coming back on this trip gave me renewed purpose and energy in my daily life. Travel always make me re-realize how important and wonderful home is.
