7 more days until we are out of January. And look at this weather coming up! I am so excited!!

look how warm!!

I am planning on riding Murphy this weekend. I know he is going to be wild so I am planning to make it an easy ride where I just get us back into work and using our brains/bodies. He's such a good egg.

The horses will be happy to step out of some of their layers I am sure! I put out more loose salt yesterday and the boys will only take salt if I load it up in my hand and let them lick my hand. It's quite hilarious.

poor girl is all mismatched but she's warm under there

I'm frothing at the memory of these days (June last year)

January horse schedule: feed, bring round bales out, fill hay nets, heat water hose up to fill up water troughs, pick feet and add vaseline, check under blankets, change blankets, and look at the horses 9 million times per day making sure they're looking healthy. I am so paranoid of colic/choke during these weather swings.

In other weekend plans, I am going to try to hit the public library Saturday morning with kiddo, have some sister time, hit up at least 3 grocery stores to find some deals, cook, bake, more decluttering /cleaning, and some sort of outdoor chore. We still have a ton of sticks to pick up in the pastures and need to burn more brush piles. The good news is I am never , ever bored. EVER.
