More cold and no indoor

Horsey news, not much. I had a full work day yesterday, came home and quickly changed clothes to go out and feed. I actually threw on an extra lightweight blanket on top of the boys as they weren’t as warm under their blankets as I like to feel. We still have a ton of snow and ice on the ground so the boys got their feet picked out.

Anyone ever try the Vaseline trick? Yea it doesn’t work with the ice. Or I’m doing it wrong?? Basically you just smear Vaseline over their foot (if they wear shoes) and it’s supposed to make snow not clump up in their feet. IDK didn’t work for me.
After that I let the outside cat inside and zoomed over to my moms to pick up my kiddo. With dog in tow of course.
We were out of cheeseburgers I prepped so I had pulled some ground beef and Italian sausage out of the freezer. I rustled up ingredients for a giant batch of spaghetti for lunches dinners the rest of the week and more than enough we will freeze some to pull out at a later date.

We are expecting more snow tonight but no ice so fine enough. I’ll pull out another round bale this weekend for the horses.
I’m seeing some schooling shows pop up but by golly that feels awfully presumptuous because we are not riding and staying in any sort of tame, behaved show horse condition right now. It is full on way too cold to ride for this Kentucky girl without an indoor.
Happy pre Friday everyone. Stay warm
