OK Here are all the benefits of being a stay at home mom. Update me if these are truly just fantasies in my mind lol.
1. You can poop in your own toilet in the comfort of your own house. Don’t have to worry about someone else walking in and doing that uncomfortable stop mid poop.
2. You don’t have to worry about the office bully or a crappy micromanager. Yes kids are tough managers but there isn’t that dread in the pit of your stomach before your review or project pitch.
3. You can go outside on a walk when the mood strikes you. Or a hike.

4. You don’t have to sit in meetings having an out of body experience that this doesn’t even matter
5. You get places out of peak hours. Play date at the library? Thrift store? Groceries? Way less traffic and people than the weekends.

6. You don’t have to leave your kids in the morning. If they're school age you can choose to homeschool or you have a handpicked place for them to go to to learn where you get to drop off happy kids.
7. You can make a phone call whenever you want. Sure the kids might be screaming but there aren’t 30 other people you hearing on the phone with your bank.
8. No guilt about leaving your children in the care of someone else. And knowing you aren’t creating any attachment issues in your child. (Ok this isn’t a guarantee but it’s a better chance that all the new research is indicating)
9. If your kids sick, you’re not juggling calling into work. And worrying about if you’ve already taken too much time. Or letting your teammates at work down.
10. You can wear whatever you want to wear. Want to just hang outside in a bikini? Wear your comfiest pair of shorts. You can do it! No dress code!
11. You don’t worry if what you are doing even matters. It’s the most important job giving our children 100% of us. We all want our kids to be better than us! At a job, many times it’s like oh we are manufacturing boxes. Wow. Whoopee.
What did I get wrong?
happy parenting friends.
