The new normal?

The new normal for me is just a tidal wave of either exhilarating or frustrating [lately]. I do not claim this as forever!
I get frustrated because I get in the comparison game of seeing moms /families have the freedom to just up and go on a week long trip to like go camping, paddleboarding or on a boat. WHERE ARE THE FAMILIES THAT JUST GO TO WORK EVERYDAY?! I get mad at myself for not realizing the game earlier, its NOT corporate life. We were told it was cool, it was the epitome of a good life to go corporate. LIES.
Anyway, a bit on the struggle bus about this lately and I’m wading my way through this season of life. I actually on my Instagram am doing a day in the life to hopefully have a few of my other WOHM friends will do it as well.
But anyways, here’s my weekend recap as it was the best weekend in a long time but we just did too much on not enough sleep. What’s that saying, ”you’re not tired you’re just not doing enough of the thing you love” I’m on the fence about this one.
Anyway on to my weekend recap.
Saturday: wake up early at 7:30 to get some alone time in.
9 AM: go outside and then I got to do this!!!:
My pride and my joy. Seriously one of the highlights as my life as a mom!
(we should have kept kiddo away as I was brushing murphy because his allergies were so bad after this, like eye was swelling)
Go inside, bath time for kiddo, I make breakfast while the SO gets a start of cutting the back fields.
Day continues as I order groceries, go and fill up all our diesel, gas tanks, propane exchange, pick up groceries and unload.
Later Saturday we had my SO’s family and friends over for game night and stayed up until 3:30 AM. We had a great time playing games and it’s so rare I decided it was worth it to stay up that late. But wow this has had a bad trickle affect on my week from being extra exhausted.
my kiddo can hang. he stayed up until 1 am and then went to his couch and fell asleep playing with his tractor. meanwhile winston passed out way earlier
Sunday AM: I have a lesson at 11 AM, my mom comes to grab kiddo for church
I have the best lesson!! Murphy is fancy when we get going together. Our canter felt 3 feet in the air !
Back home, I grab a bite to eat, clean out the trailer, start meal prep, weed eat, then my family came over for a few hours. The kids are so cute seeing them play together at these ages!
it's funny what the boys use to play with!
Sunday night my sister reminded me I needed to drop the car off at the shop so by the time meal prep was completely done we left the house at 9 and got back home after 10. So Boom there was the weekend.
Anyways, It was a wonderful weekend filled with so much time with our family and friends and the weather was perfect! I had a literal euphoric lesson with my trainer and I got my kiddo to ride with me and he did so good!!! I was SO proud.
He also rode his bike and he is getting really good at this as well!
Happy Tuesday folks.
