Google advice: baking soda/water, isopropyl wipes, etc. It doesn’t work well enough to even mention it. The last time I was stung was over 15 years ago (by a honeybee) and it was on my foot. I had an itchy throat, hives, and my foot swelled up enough for a week I had to be on crutches so my doctor recommended I carry an epipen because reactions typically get worse.

Since then I have been stung by yellow jackets, little sweat bees and things of this nature. Typically I just pop several Benadryl and roll on with lots of swelling and itching but it’s fine.

But this weekend I got stung by a full size full blow wasp. After commencing freaking out and popping 4 benadryl it was swelling up fast. And it hurt like the dickens.

SO apparently knows that wet tobacco binds the poison?!?! And it works!!!

You need some sort of tobacco (dip pouches, shredded leaves, the inside part of a cigarette), it needs to be wet and then you have to hold it on the sting really hard for about 10 minutes!!

(According to google, you shouldn’t use a menthol cigarette)

This experience was enough to make me want to keep some tobacco pouches on hand in my first aid kit!
