It is Tuesday so I guess I should start with a few weekend highlights.
Friday night we went out to diner at a local restaurant and looked at my brothers new house he is building. I actually had never been to the 16th and it was pretty cool! It reminded me of the town I visited in Germany where all the restaurants seemed very high end but also small and local.
I really like his copper gutters on the black house
Saturday my sisters and all the cousins got to swim and hangout for several hours at our favorite swimming spot lately. Then when we got back to our farm we had more family stop by. Kiddo had the time of his life this weekend playing with all the kids (#onlychildprobs) he stayed up past his normal late bedtime of 11 both nights.
all the boys love the water. we were right by a spring tributary so it was a good mix of chilly and warm water
I hopped up on Murphy after feeding on Saturday and snuck a quick bareback ride in and Sunday we actually put the saddle on and I just had fun. We cantered, we trotted ,we did a little leg yielding but mostly I just had a fun ride.
I didn't take any pictures of our actual ride so enjoy this halter and only a leadrope ride X)
I picked up lots of sticks in the back pasture on Sunday and weed-eated our small pen on the side of the barn. My lesson was cancelled because the rain had really made the grass too slick and I really didn’t want make a full day of it to haul to an indoor arena.
probably spent 2.5 hours picking up sticks out there. Pasture is already looking so much better than last year
Work has been super busy for me lately and outside of work well, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. I ‘m trying to get this tiny home build rolling and suffice it to say EVERYTHING is more complicated than I thought it would be LOL.
I’ll do a post soon on the how to’s of building a tiny home as I get further along in the process.
I’ve also made a few more profiles on different websites for our farm for camping/RV camping which are time consuming.
anyway more to come but I keep in mind the quote of nostalgia is gratitude in hindsight. this season I am sure I will miss in the years to come
Happy Tuesday
