Full farm, full hearts, Welcome Waylon

I have had an eventful week already! The surprise birth of a calf on our farm. A kitten showed up and we have claimed (more on this to claim I need to catch her now to get some antibiotics and eventually so I can get her fixed), my sister gave birth to another nephew!, and we got another dog. LOL.

any guesses on the breeds? I can't wait to see what he's mixed with

I’ve covered the calf being born on Thursday and we will proceed to Sunday. I really don’t try to be on social media hardly at all, I’ve deleted my Instagram app and facebook is next.

Marketplace is so entertaining it’s been the hardest one to delete. So it was odd I just happened to see a post in a group I’m not even a member of where someone posted they had a large breed puppy dropped off at their house.

When I screenshot this and send it over to my SO I thought he will say no and I won’t think about it again. But actually he said “go get him”.

I love animals so then I commented on the post and asked a few questions and if she could text me thinking well if it’s the Lord’s will then what will happen will happen. After texting for awhile I asked if I could meet the dog on Sunday.

Sunday happened and the sweet little guy was just so scared but had been well loved on for a week since he had been dropped off. They had too many dogs and one dog that didn’t like other males so couldn’t keep him. After loading him up, he definitely puked on the way home.

I think he will be a homebody farm dog.

He's doing really good with his potty training already and is really starting to get braver.

My SO has named the dog Waylon. Waylon goes pretty good with Winston (my dog pound dog I got a year ago)

Everyone is still settling in but Waylon is sooooooo good with my toddler. Waylon is coming out of his shell and gets little puppy zoomies and when he’s playing with my toddler he is just so gentle he just rolls over on his back. I do believe they are going to become the best of buds.

It’s a fun adventure on the farm and our hearts are very full! For the next season we are full on animals.
