I’ve ridden Murphy for 2 days in a row. It’s quite miraculous. And wonderful, I couldn't stop smiling yesterday our ride was so good. His canter transitions have been absolutely beautiful along with all other up and down transitions.

He took me on a trail ride yesterday and was the bravest ever. We have a couple really steep crossings on our property and he chose to go through one a couple of times!

he also likes to eat some snacks on our trail rides hehe

My trailer tires didn’t arrive over the weekend so that will be a next weekend adventure. After that I am ready for more lessons and some adventures. I am hoping our next lesson can be some jumpies so we can start prepping for a show!

My goal is to start riding before work as soon as it gets light enough in the morning because I am a weenie otherwise. I really like the training mode of 15-20 minutes a day! By the time I tack up and groom and give treats it will definitely take me about an hour however.

I’ve taken the horses blankets off (HOPEFULLY for the last time) until LATE this year. Which also means it’s almost time for our spring deworming.

The spring weather has me in the mood to buy some actual riding clothes. I *need a sunshirt and would love an actual pair of fitted riding boots. For the first time in my life, I feel like I am finally good enough to call myself an equestrian. I don’t get frustrated with our rides because the decade of lessons has finally sunk in and I have actual skills. I’m still just an ok rider ha , one step at a time.

THE CUTEST BOI

In non horse news, I am in the market for a robot vacuum. I’ve justified it in terms of my time and the fact I am a horrid housekeeper.

The SO has terrible allergies and I managed to pick the hairiest dog from the shelter (not a deliberate choice lol) so I think the solution is to take the vacuuming off of my plate. Boy will I be glad when a true housekeeping robot comes out within my price range.

other house news is my child gave his bus a car wash in the shower and i didn't pay attention for maybe 15 minutes and we flooded some of the living room

I have no other grand news, the farm projects are picking up and I am making progress on finishing up my winter projects. Just in time for the spring/summer ones to start.

spring = more activities!
spring = more activities!

Happy almost spring everyone.
