I’ve been way overthinking what my next post should be about because my moods/energy is very mercurial. stupid daylight savings time is putting me through the ringer.

Life is good right now , still tiring but still great. It’s such a weird thing. I am so happy and blessed with what I have now but also pushing so hard towards my future.

I am going to put this out here and see where I wind up in a couple years. I am so badly wanting to be able to have more flexibility to homeschool or partially homeschool my kiddo and spend a little more time on the farm and being able to be with the horses /ride more.

I guess the most pertinent thing I can write about is my steps I am taking right now that are really really helping me feel in control of my life.

1.      Budgeting. Everydollar is AMAZING. I need to crunch the numbers but I am saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars every month by being aware of where my money is going. I use the paid version of $80/year.

2.      Staying off my phone more. I am choosing reality and staying present because when my kiddo gets older I want to think back and really know I fully lived each moment. Nostalgia I think is most powerful when we didn’t fully enjoy the moments in their present time. picture: We tried watercoloring together this past weekend as well instead of watching a show.

3.      Tracking my food/protein. I use fatsecret and am fairly good about this. Staying in control of my health helps me to stay fit and feel mentally in control of my life.

4.      Stealing moments to go ride. This weekend I cooked breakfast then everyone was just chilling inside so instead of working in the house I just went outside and rode Murphy! Riding is truly my passion and it brings me so much joy! After a ride I am so fulfilled and happier. I encourage everyone and especially parents to continue pursuing your passions

a.      NOTE here fam, sometimes we do take a step back from our hobbies because raising kids is hard. My kiddo still has terrible allergies for horses so I got a  mountain bike with a seat for him so we could have a hobby that fulfills me and he can do with me!

I feel like I am doing a whole bunch of stuff but honestly these 4 things have really been game changing for me in the past few months.

Happy Tuesday everyone.
