For about 3 days it didn’t stop raining. It was a historical flood I think in the top 5 of all floods recorded in  our area and the highest since the 1970s.

It was dicey getting home as the water kept rising and we only had 1 way into our house so we got groceries on Friday night and hunkered down all weekend.

The horses were grumpy and hanging out in the shed, our pond kept overflowing because debris kept filling up in our drain. The first time I unclogged it I rescued 4 turtles that had been stuck.

rescued this catfish from the total other side of the field the water was coming out so hard

Thankfully we are up on higher ground so the house and all our fields didn’t really flood other than the overflow stream from our pond. It’s also April so the weather stayed mostly in the 70s.
