Winter is here and darkness falls early. Turns out I’m still really not sleeping much more than the last couple years since I still can’t figure out bedtime. HOWEVER, I am having a lot of fun!! I just pray for God to bless my sleep and make it count more lol! I got a scooter for my son’s birthday and lately we have been having chase parts where he pushes a chair and I ride the scooter around in circles. Malibu Jacks. We hit 24 degrees F the last couple of days. Really early for us in KY to hit that cold this early. Which meant we were scrambling to get everything ready for the animals. Winter is another ballgame if you have livestock. Especially large animals. Horses wormed – check Cow shelter put out – check Fresh hay bales put out for everyone – check Blankets folded, organized and put on- check Hoses drained – fail. Farm life update: barn doors ✔️ cow shelter in progress 🐄 hay run completed (barely 😅). It’s been a busy few weeks, but we’re getting closer to the dream — one muddy project at a time.

A chaotic but hilarious day at the vet — between a nervous puppy, a cat with an eye infection, and one very messy truck ride home, this farm mom proves she can handle it all (mostly).
